Ten Matches to Watch ...
... will come early afternoon Pacific time. Again, will be looking at Europe and the Americas, and if I have time I will add "five matches to watch" from Asia.
Give me your ideas or, at least, which matches are you going to be watching this weekend (and why).

Twente at Eindhoven
Twente can move 8 clear with 6 to play. Eindhoven ends with 4 of those 6 on the road. Twente has 3 and 3 to end.
Oh, and Twente has Nkufo.

the superclásico is coming this sunday. what’s interesting this time around is that instead of two superpowers clashing, boca is 3 points from last place and river embodies the median. that is, the superpowers are failing and desperately need to get back on track, as seen by recent changes, rumors, and uncertainties: boca is led by interim coach alvez, abondanzieri is long gone from the team, ortega has been practicing parallel to his teammates in an attempt to work his way back in the lineup after slips in his fight against alcoholism, riquelme intimates that this is his last superclásico, and cabral has orders to stop palermo, who recently reached boca’s all-time top-scorer record of 218 (roberto cherro, 1926), and which he could very well break this week. the preview shows nothing but faded glory and present uncertainty, but the superclásico brings something out in players, roots the game in history rather than the standings, and is never predictable.
meanwhile, or actually, later that day, independiente and godoy cruz, who’ve been leapfrogging each other at the top of the standings, have very different matches. el rojo plays bottom-feeding rosario central, but el tomba (not la) will face third-place, and last tournament’s champ, banfield.
don't care if i ever get back.
